China's Xuelong, polar icebreaker, collided with an iceberg¹ on its 35th Antarctic research mission due to thick fog, said China's Ministry² of Natural Resources Monday on its website.

中国国土资源部官网周一发布消息，雪龙号极地破冰船在第35次南极考察任务途中因大雾与一座冰山相撞。

The collision happened at around 11 a.m. (BJT), on January 19 at 69.59 degrees south latitude³ and 94.04 west longitude⁴. The ship was traveling at a speed of three knots (5.56 km/h).

No staff aboard was injured during the collision. Xuelong research icebreaker is now under good conditions.
