在9月7日举行的国务院联防联控机制发布会上，国家卫健委新闻发言人、宣传司副司长米锋介绍，“外防输入、内防扩散”仍是当前疫情防控的重中之重，持续推进新冠病毒疫苗接种工作仍是工作重点。

 

The National Health Commission said on Tuesday that more than 2.11 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines² have been administered in China, and about 970 million people nationwide have finished the vaccination³ process as of Monday.

国家卫健委9月7日表示，截至9月6日，全国累计报告接种新冠病毒疫苗超过21.1亿剂次，完成全程接种的人数近9.7亿人。

 

Nearly 162.3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered among minors⁴ aged⁵ between 12 and 17.

12至17岁人员目前已经接种近16230万剂次。

 

针对个别地方为加快疫苗接种节奏而出台的限制性措施，国家卫健委疾控局副局长吴良有表示，

 

Individuals are encouraged to receive COVID-19 vaccines on the premises⁶ of voluntary informed consent, and irregular practices such as banning unvaccinated people from public places should be corrected.

鼓励个人在知情、同意、自愿的前提下接种新冠疫苗，禁止未接种人员进入公共场所等违规行为要纠正。

 

目前新冠病毒疫苗对各种变异株仍然有效

 

科研攻关组疫苗研发专班工作组组长、国家卫健委科技发展中心主任郑忠伟表示：

 

我国生产的新冠病毒疫苗当前主要是灭活疫苗，已经在全球范围内开展了较大规模人群的接种。

 

Data have shown China's inactivated⁷ vaccines, whether used domestically or abroad, are effective in preventing infection, curbing⁸ retransmission and significantly reducing serious illness and death.

数据证明，无论是国内还是国外使用的灭活疫苗，均对预防感染有一定效果，对感染后的再传播有明确效果，对预防重症和死亡有显著效果。

 

Historical experience in controlling other infectious diseases has taught us vaccines are the effective weapon to defeat viruses.

历史上传染病防控的经验告诉我们，疫苗是战胜病毒的有效武器。

 

Although domestic vaccines have demonstrated efficacy against new virus strains, a series of research projects aimed at developing vaccines targeting virus mutations has been rolled out as a precautionary measure.

虽然，我国目前的新冠病毒疫苗对各种变异株仍然有效，不过，各疫苗的研发单位已经在开展针对各种变异株疫苗研发的一系列工作，从而做到有备无患。

 

Chinese vaccine¹ makers⁹ have completed preclinical studies on inactivated vaccines designed to tackle the Gamma strain first detected in Brazil and the Delta¹⁰ strain first documented in India.

我国的疫苗研发单位已经开展了Gamma株和Delta株的灭活疫苗研究，目前临床前的研究已经完成了。

 

In addition, research into recombinant subunit vaccines designed to ward¹¹ off different strains－also known as broad-spectrum or multivalent vaccines－is also underway, he added.
