Chinanews, Beijing, July 31 – A recent survey shows that more than 30% of the white collars like to sleep in at weekends and 60% of the white collars spend less than 200 yuan at weekends.

The week-long survey was jointly1 conducted by the Legal Evening News and zhaopin.com website among about 6,000 people.

The investigation2 shows that white collars like to spend their weekends in the following three ways—sleeping in, doing housework or going shopping. While men like to work overtime3 to earn more money at weekends, women would rather go shopping during weekends. Married people normally spend more time cleaning the room at weekends while single white collars might choose to go shopping or attend parties.

90% of white collars usually spend less than 500 yuan at weekends, with 60% of them spending less than 200 yuan. Among them, white collars who are married spend more than those who are not. However, most of the high consuming group (people who spend over 1,000 yuan) are single men or women.
