Chinanews, Beijing, Aug 3 – In order to provide a fast and convenient air transport service, in order to raise the efficiency of air resources utilization1 and create a high-grade airline operational mode, the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC), its two subsidiary management bodies in Beijing and Shanghai, namely the Beijing Capital Airport and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, as well as five airliners2 have worked together and are ready to launch an air express filght between Beijing and Shanghai after six months of preparation work. The air express flight service will be launched on August 6.
With the air express service, a flight will be launched between Beijing and Shanghai once every 30 minutes. Passengers taking such flight can choose their favorite airliners and they can make the ticket reservation in a special counter. Also, they can run through all the boarding procedures in a fast channel opened especially for the passengers. Passengers might spend only three hours to complete the air transportation between the two cities. This will be the first air express service launched by CAAC. In future, CAAC might launch more air express flight services between Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
