Chinanews, Guangzhou, Aug. 30 – Xu Guihua, a former official from the Ministry1 of Health, revealed on Monday that more and more young women in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, have taken to smoking, considering smoking as fashionable.
Xu also writes in her report that women smoking will pose great threat to children’s health. She believes if two people smoke in a family, children in this family are very likely to suffer from respiratory diseases. Xu says that all tobacco producers need to meet new standards made by the Ministry of Health, and there will be no tobacco advertisements in China by 2011.
