Chinanews, Beijing, Sept 19 – The Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology recently released a report which shows that more and more Chinese women have now developed a "S" -shape figure, the ideal figure for women.
The report has reached this conclusion after following the physical development of 3,000 Chinese women in six years. As Chinese people's living conditions further improve, Chinese women's figure has also become more beautiful. Related information shows that compared with the 1990s, Chinese women's height has increased by 0.5 centimeter on average and their bust1 measurement has gained nearly 1 centimeter. The women covered in the report are aged2 18-55, mostly between the age of 18-30, said a person in charge of the report program. If seen from regional perspective, it can be concluded from the report that in the north China region, Chinese women’s average height now is 162.82 centimeters, while previously3, the average height of women there was 162.54 centimeters; the average height of women living in the south China region is now 158.86 centimeters, increasing by 0.5 centimeter compared with ten years ago when their average height was only 158.41 centimeters. In addition, Chinese women's bust measurement has also changed greatly. The average bust measurement of women living in the north is now 83.54 centimeters and that of women living in the south is now 82.21 centimeters, both increasing by nearly 1 centimeter compared with the past.
