Chinanews, Beijing ,September 21 – Cellphone today plays an irreplaceable role in the life of Chinese people. However, many of them have fallen victim to cellphone obsessive-compulsive disorder1, too.

Mr. Xiao from Changsha, Hunan Province admitted that he could never do without his cellphone, or he would feel quite uneasy. “I like to hold my cellphone in my hand, even when no one calls me or sends me text messages. If I don’t take it along with me, I will not be able to focus my attention on anything else at all,” complained Xiao.

Experts said that severe OCDs might cause physical symptoms like heart-throb. Usually excessive dependence2 will lead to cellphone OCD, which is also a kind of depression.

It is suggested that cellphone OCD patients should seek help from psychological therapists.
