Chinanews, Beijing, December 5 – According to a research conducted by Horizon Research, Xiamen of Fujian Province is the most hospitable1 city in China. Beijing and Shanghai have both gained much higher positions on the list.
Most cities among the tops are small and medium-sized ones. Beijing has won a lot of marks due to its improved community environment, while Shanghai is honored2 with its economic environment, cultural atmosphere and public spaces. This year, Beijing ranks 11th, while its position last year was only 19th. Shanghai ranks 3rd, and it ranked only 11th last year. Xiamen and Hangzhou are the top 2. Other cities on the top-10 list include Shenzhen, Ningbo, Qingdao, Kunming, Chengdu, Zhuhai and Suzhou. Horizon Research has conducted this annual research for 3 years, and this time, it covers 4,300 respondents in 39 cities.
