Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has returned to work after undergoing brain surgery.
阿根廷总统克里斯蒂娜·费尔南德斯·基什内尔在经历一场脑部手术之后已重返工作岗位。
The Argentine president thanked well-wishers in a video message Ms Fernandez held meetings with officials and Vice-president Amado Boudou, who led the administration during her six-week convalescence1(康复期).
She has also released a video message, thanking those who supported her during "difficult moments".
The president, 60, had surgery on 8 October to remove a blood clot2 on her brain found during routine checks.
She was discharged from hospital a month later.
Doctors say they will continue to monitor her health, with new tests taking place in December.
Electoral defeat
In her video message, filmed by her daughter Florencia, Ms Fernandez said she had experienced "a difficult moment" when she attended a routine medical check on her heart and was told she would need surgery.
"But fine, here we are, once again back at work and putting our shoulder to the wheel."
The procedure on 8 October removed blood that had pooled on the surface of her brain after she fell and knocked her head.
Her illness forced her to abandon campaigning for mid-term congressional elections.
Her allies suffered heavy losses in the 27 October vote, and Ms Fernandez had her majority in Congress reduced.
That put an end to any speculation3 that she may try to amend4 the constitution to allow her to run for a third term in office.
Ms Fernandez was first elected in 2007 and then returned to power with a comfortable majority in 2011. She is due to leave office in two years' time.
Her husband, former President Nestor Kirchner, died from a heart attack in 2010.
