Five health care workers will share Time Magazine's 2014 Person of the Year award.
五位医护人员将共同获得《时代》杂志2014年度风云人物奖项。
The five include 46-year-old Doctor Jerry Brown, a medical director and general surgeon at the Eternal Love Winning Africa Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.
Brown says working with Ebola victims is challenging but, ultimately, rewarding.
"For every person I see coming out of the unit and smiling, I have the courage to go back."
The other recipients1 of the award include a health promoter and a caregiver from the Doctors Without Borders clinic in Monrovia, and a physician with Samaritan's Purse, a Christian2 humanitarian3 organization.
The Ebola outbreak has killed more than 6 thousand people out of nearly 18 thousand cases, almost all in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
