Officials from EgyptAir say an Airbus 320 plane has been believed to have crashed into sea.

The EgyptAir flight from Paris to Cairo disappeared from radar¹ early Thursday.

 

The plane was carrying 59 passengers and 10 crew numbers, including 30 Egyptians, 15 French and 11 other nationals.

 

It’s been confirmed that no Chinese nationals aboard.

 

The EgyptAir flight MS804, which was flying at an altitude of 11,280 meters, was 16 km inside Egyptian airspace when losing contact with radar at 2:45 a.m. Cairo time (0045 GMT), said an official source in the company.

 

It took off from Paris at 11:09 p.m. local time (2109 GMT) Wednesday for a three-hour and 45 minute journey.
