The Liangzhu Archaeological Ruins, China's latest entry on the UNESCO World Heritage List, started accepting public visitors on Sunday.

良渚古城遗址，中国最大的世界文化遗产，周日起开始向游客开放。

Located on the river plain on the outskirts¹ of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province, the ancient city dates back to 3,300-2,300 B.C. It is "considered to be a supreme² achievement of prehistoric³ rice-cultivating civilization of China and East Asia over 5,000 years ago and an outstanding example of early urban civilization," said a report by the International Council on Monuments and Sites.

Up to 3,000 visitors a day are able to visit the site by reservation via WeChat.
