Chinanews, Beijing, Oct. 18 – China has currently signed agreements with 26 countries and regions on official mutual1 recognition of education degrees. It is fairly beneficial for Chinese teachers, students, and schools to develop international communication and for foreign students to seek jobs back home.
According to information from the Ministry2 of Education, now Chinese government has developed relationship on educational cooperation and communication with 178 countries and regions, as well as many international organizations such as UNESCO. China has also established high-level educational consultation3 mechanisms4 with many countries in Asia, Europe, America, Africa, and the Pacific region.
Meanwhile, Chinese educational organizations are actively5 managing to develop Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools to benefit from other countries' high-quality educational resources and outstanding subjects. By 2005, China had set up more than 1,000 cooperatively-run schools and educational projects.
Vice6 Minister of Education Zhang Xinsheng points out that China will continue to promote the mutual recognition of education degrees with foreign countries, making Chinese undergraduates pursue their master degree studies directly in related foreign countries, and Chinese master degree holders7 study on the doctoral level directly in other countries as well. In the meantime, China will provide the same benefits to foreign students in China. It will enhance its attraction luring8 more foreign students to study in China.
