AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group has delivered two homemade Y-12E civil aircraft to Nepal.

哈尔滨航空工业集团向尼泊尔交付两架国产Y-12E民用飞机。

According to the producer, the Y-12 series leads China's endeavor in producing multi-purpose turbo aircraft that meet international airworthiness standards. It is China's most-exported civil aircraft series.

The aircraft is simple to maneuver¹ with low cost for maintenance. Its easy take-off and landing ability as well as adaptability² allows it to be used widely in transport, geological prospecting³, maritime⁴ monitoring, and artificial precipitation.

The two Y-12E aircraft delivered to Nepal are expected to be used for civil aviation purposes.

Nepal is a mountainous country which often requires aircraft that are able to take off and land in short distances.
