A branch of the Bank of China in Shenzhen has apologized to blind singer Zhou Yunpeng, who was denied a bank account because of the bank's claim that he was "a person without capacity for civil conduct," reports jiemian.com.

The post has since gone viral, with many slamming the Bank of China for discrimination.
The BOC branch has since apologized after reviewing the case, saying it is promising1 to provide more professional services in the future.
Someone in China who is characterized as "a person without capacity for civil conduct" is a person under the age of 18 or an adult unable to understand their own behavior. People with visual impairments are not included in that characterization, according to the country's civil law.
