Chinanews, Wuhan, November 28 – According1 to a survey conducted by an elementary school in Wuhan, Hubei Province, 50% of kids can hardly see their fathers. In fact, these fathers don’t even spend much time at home, either.
That school has launched2 a project to combine school education with family education, which requires the cooperation of parents. Before the project, the teachers held a survey on the conditions of fathers. The survey shows that more than 50% of fathers can’t spare time with their kids. 43 of them have not stayed at home for long. Nearly 40% of them confess3 that they are not good fathers. Their kids also complain that they don’t even know when their fathers get back home every evening, as in most cases they are already fast asleep by then. Besides, those fathers who do have spare time often spend the time on reading, sleeping or playing cards instead of stringing along with family members. Although fathers remain to be the idol4 of most kids, the kids still wish their fathers could spend more time playing or talking with them.
