Qingdao of China will for the first time host an ATP China International Tennis Challenge from August 8 to 14, announced officials of the Qingdao sports bureau¹ here on Wednesday.

 

中国青岛体育局官员周三宣布，青岛将于8月8日至14日首次举办ATP中国国际网球挑战赛。

 

"With a total bonus of 125,000 U.S. dollars, the highest among ATP challenges, this tournament will attract more than 100 tennis players from all over the world," said Song Aijun.

 

According to the organizers, the Qingdao leg of the ATP China International Tennis Challenge will be held five years in a row until 2020. 

 

The newly-born tournament will be held on five clay courts and the qualifiers will start from August 6, featuring a total of 64 singles and 32 pairs.
