Chinese players claimed four gold medals in the six title events at the 2019 World Cyber Games (WCG) Grand Final that concluded on Sunday in the Qujiang New District of Xi'an, capital city of northwest China's Shaanxi province.

China's 2009 champion Wang "Infi" Xuwen defeated compatriot Huang "TH000" Xiang 2-1 in the Warcraft III final to add another WCG title to his profile.

 

Infi, who defeated TH000 in the qualifiers to nail a spot in the Grand Final, did not have a promising¹ start, losing the first game and nearly the second, until he survived the ferocious² attack by TH000 and leveled the score.

 

In the decider, Infi's Pandaren Brewmaster dealt significant damage to TH000's Archmage and Gold Mine, which was decisive for his 2-1 comeback victory.

 

The Dota 2 final witnessed another convincing performance by Newbee of China, who won the gold medal without losing a single game in the tournament, adding another Major title to their already-decorated protfolio.

 

In the newly-introduced WCG event Honor of Kings, DTeam excelled from the four Chinese semifinalists to be crowned champions after defeating VSTAR 2-0.

 

Together with the CrossFire³ title won by Super Valiant⁴ on Saturday, China claimed four gold medals in the six title events on home soil, with Mate "Exigo" Kalenics bagging one for Hungary in Hearthstone and Jackson "JuicyJ" Wahl winning the other for the United States.
