Chinanews, Beijing, February 28 – The 2007 Women's Football World Cup will be held at the Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai this September, which will be one of the most important sport events in China this year. Currently, Shanghai is busy preparing for it.

According to the statistics from Shanghai municipal government, more than 1,700 people have applied¹ as work volunteers during the games, and the best among them will be selected.

At present, the hotels for players and referees² have been arranged, and the plan for city decoration has been worked out. Shanghai will put on a red look during the games.

In fact, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Wuhan and Chengdu will also be the hosts of 2007 Women's Football World Cup, but the opening and closing ceremonies will be held in Shanghai.
