| Nov.2 - A determined1 Yao Ming and his Houston Rockets team failed to slow the Utah Jazz in their season opening game as the Rockets lost 107-97.
Yao scored 22 points and nine rebounds2 while team mate Tracy McGrady added 25 points and nine assists.
Yao scored the first point for the Rockets and led the visitors to a 5-1 lead after the opening whistle. However, two fouls3 in the early minutes had restrained Yao's movement on the court. The Chinese center played quite prudent4 in the remaining time.
