Chinanews, Beijing, Aug 30 – In 2008 when Beijing hosts the Olympic Games, it will do as many as 4,500 doping tests, the most in Olympic history, the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee1 said Wednesday.
The doping test will be carried out from July 27 to August 24, next year. By then, about 41 test stations will be installed2 at the Olympic Village and all the Olympic match venues3. In order to save time for athletes, every test station will have two check rooms and in the Olympic Village, the test station will have 3 check rooms, said Chen Zhiyu, head of the Sports Service Section at the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee. During the Beijing Olympic Games, the blood test and urine test will be done at one place, while at previous Olympic Games, athletes had to do the blood test at the Olympic Village. The new measure also aims at raising work efficiency4.
