Oct. 30 - Tickets for the 2008 Beijing Olympics are again available for mainland1 citizens as the games organizers kicked off the second stage of Olympic ticket sales on Tuesday.

According to the BOCOG website, 1.85 million tickets covering all sporting events at the upcoming Games will be sold until late January 2008.

Buyers can get the tickets on a "first come, first served" basis. They can order on BOCOG website or by calling the hotline (010)952008, or by going to the 1,000 designated2 Bank of China branches.

Ticket payments3 can be made via visa cards, Bank of China accounts or in cash and must be completed within two days. Buyers will receive their tickets in June or July next year.

To ensure more people to have a chance to purchase tickets, the BOCOG will limit every buyer to get no more than 50 tickets in total, with five tickets at most for each sporting event. For some most popular events, the limit will fall to two tickets for each game.

The BOCOG will also launch4 a monitoring system at the same time to avoid scalpers who will receive a much stricter limit on the purchase.

For the disabled and people who have to accompany them, the ticket center offered a special service. They can email ticketsupport@beijing2008.cn or sent a letter to postbox No. 100007-98 with their tickets request and contact numbers.

However, applicants5 who have not paid for the tickets in the first stage are banned from buying new tickets.

In addition, 2008 Paralympics tickets will also go on sale later.

Tickets for the 2008 Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies as well as 1.59 million tickets for sporting events were sold out in the first stage from April 15 to June 30.
