Chinanews, Chengdu, January 25 – If weather permits, China Tibetan Mountain Climbing Team will try to conquer Gasherbrum I in July to fulfill¹ their dream of climbing all the fourteen 8,000-m mountains in the world, which will set a new record for mountain climbing teams worldwide.

Tibetan Mountain Climbing Team was founded in 1993, and they have conquered all the rest thirteen 8,000-m mountains.

In May, 2005, they started their first campaign of climbing Gasherbrum I in Pakistan, but one of their jeeps was hit by a rolling stone, in which one of their key climbers was killed, and another severely² injured. Thus they went to Mianyang, Sichuan Province for rest and reorganization.

“One year's rest makes us ready to try again,”said the captain.
