New York Yankees to help train China's national team

Chinanews, Beijing, January 31 – The Chinese Baseball Association signed a cooperative memorandum¹ with the New York Yankees of the Major League Baseball (MLB) of the US on January 30 in Beijing. New York Yankees will send coaches, medics, masseurs and even player scouts² to help train China's national baseball team.

The Yankees have been playing in the MLB for over 100 years, and they have won 26 championship out of 39 MLB games. Although China is weak in baseball, it has great potential in this aspect, as the general public has started to pay more and more attention to this sport.

“Yankees will send the best to China, and we will invite Chinese players to MLB,” said Randy Levine, the President of the Yankees.
