Chinanews, Shanghai, May 8 – A special women police team has been set up to safeguard the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be a big international event in China.

The FIFA Women's World Cup will be held during September in five cities of China: Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Chengdu. It will have 16 women's football teams from countries of Asia, Africa, America, Oceania, and Europe

On May 1, a drill was performed by the special women police. 10 girls in uniform were escorting some referees¹ toward the stand when a man suddenly appeared, bearing down on those referees. Whereupon, the girls immediately gathered around the referees, forming a triangle to keep the referees safe from the attack.

This special women police team is composed of 10 girls with an average age of 25.To better fulfill² their task to secure the FIFA Women's World Cup, these girls have taken up training since March in dozens of training programs such as defense³, capture ,shooting, physical fitness, etc..
