Even Prime Minister David Cameron seemed to be getting into the spirit of things, and was enjoying a little jig¹⁰ about as he enjoyed the show from the VIP seats.

 

While the near-perfect performance certainly didn't disappoint, Victoria Beckham appeared to almost suffer a mishap¹¹ as she mounted her cab to leave the stage.

 

As she rose up on the roof of the vehicle, she tripped ever so slightly and had to steady herself on a supportive barrier.

 

It is believed the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony will be the last time the Spice Girls perform together as a five.

 

The group burst on to the British pop scene some 16 years ago and enjoyed a meteoric¹² rise to fame thanks to their debut¹³ track, Wannabe, which remains¹⁴ the most successful song ever performed by an all-female group.
