Storming on to the stage on top of five traditional black cabs which reflected their individual personalities1, the fabulous2(难以置信的) five emerged to a rapturous(兴高采烈的) applause as they performed their first smash hit single, Wannabe.

It wasn't long before the girls - Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton - broke out into an energetic dance routine.

Even pouting3 Posh - wearing a stunning4 black strapless(无带的) gown by Giles Deacon - managed to crack a smile as the group dashed about the stage to the sounds of Spice Up Your Life.

Meanwhile, Geri rocked a super-short red dress with Union Jack5 detailing, which she paired with a Halo & Co gold filigree6 tiara.

Emma stayed true to her Baby Spice roots in a hot pink mini-dress, while Mel C opted7 for a flowing white jumpsuit(连身衣裤).

But it was Mel B who stole the show in her daring sequinned Zuhair Murad bodysuit, which showcased her curves in all their glory.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson was seen busting8 out a variety of exuberant9 dance moves as he rocked out to Spice Up Your Life.

Even Prime Minister David Cameron seemed to be getting into the spirit of things, and was enjoying a little jig10 about as he enjoyed the show from the VIP seats.

While the near-perfect performance certainly didn't disappoint, Victoria Beckham appeared to almost suffer a mishap11 as she mounted her cab to leave the stage.

As she rose up on the roof of the vehicle, she tripped ever so slightly and had to steady herself on a supportive barrier.

It is believed the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony will be the last time the Spice Girls perform together as a five.

The group burst on to the British pop scene some 16 years ago and enjoyed a meteoric12 rise to fame thanks to their debut13 track, Wannabe, which remains14 the most successful song ever performed by an all-female group.
